Welcome to the Ice Ball

The Ice Ball was held on the 8th of Feb 2020 in Support of Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice.

We are all touched by our cause whether close or afar
So be brave and be bold and come prop up our bar
The event of the year… its our annual ice ball
Come join in the fun to support our Thorpe Hall.

We can’t chose our destiny but we can get there with pride
Giving back to society makes a happier ride
Live the life that you want and by that you succeed
But there are people less fortunate humans in need

Health is wealth, without it we are poor
So let’s offer some riches and do something for sure
We can put something back, its only money and because…
One day we might need someone doing the same for us.

Our chosen charity

The hospice is in a beautiful setting in the heart of Peterborough. It is a magical place that touches many people’s lives throughout the year, every year.

“As a Sue Ryder Nurse, I see first-hand the compassionate care and support we provide to our patients and their families. Whether it is in our inpatient unit or out in the local community, we focus on giving people the best quality of life possible.
While our care is provided free of charge, it costs £3.4 million every year – and £2.4 million of that has to be fundraised, through events such as the Ice Ball.
The funds raised at the ball will help us to be there when it matters for our patients and their families. We are really grateful to the Stamford Ladies and everyone involved for their support.”
